To be eligible for the — a household must be equal to or less than 150% of poverty level. For example, a single-person household can qualify with a monthly income of up to $1459; a two-person household, $1,966 and a family of four can earn up to $2,981.
The program provides payments of $150 to electric service providers on behalf of qualifying households.
Due to limited funds there are strict guidelines for eligibility. Priority will be given to:
- Household that contain a member aged 60 or older.
- Households that contain a child aged 5 or younger.
- Individuals who receive Social Security Benefits or have a pending case filed with SSA.
- Households that contain a member with medical condition. (A Doctors certification is required stating the condition and that it would be aggravated by extreme heat.)

In order to process your application in a timely manner we will need ALL of the following documentation at your appointment. Bring:
- Proof of Income for the past 30 days for everyone in your household over 18. (Income can be Child Support, Wages, Self-Employment, Alimony, TANF, AABD, SSI, SSA)
- Social Security Cards for all members of your household.
- Your most recent gas/electric bill for all vendors.
