Blue Ridge CUSD #18 is accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Dawn Muth.
The individual selected will serve on the School Board from the date of appointment until May, 2017.
To be eligible to serve, a school board member must be, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old, a registered voter, and a resident of the State of Illinois and the school district for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment.
In addition, a school board member must not hold another incompatible public office, have a prohibited interest in any contract with the District, be a child sex offender, or hold certain types of prohibited State or Federal employment.
Applicants should show familiarity with the Board’s policies regarding general duties and responsibilities of a Board and a Board member. The Blue Ridge CUSD #18 Board Policy Manual is located on the district website at www.blueridge18.org along the left-hand side of the page.
Applications may be obtained at the Blue Ridge CUSD #18 District Office, 411 North John Street, Farmer City, IL 61842 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Also, a PDF application form is available on the District website. Completed applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 to the attention of Krista Voyles, Board Clerk, at the address listed above.
