The City of Farmer City underwent a strategic planning process earlier this year, which included civic engagement, staff input and a City Council retreat. This plan creates priorities, plans and action items to address issues and opportunities facing Farmer City and its residents and businesses.
Attached is the final report with those results put together by Northern Illinois University’s Center for Governmental Studies. Staff is working on the action plan steps right now to address these goals over the next few months and years. We hope to update the plan in 2 years to keep it a living document for the City’s future!
Watch for a whiteboard to be installed in the City Council Chambers, which will track the action steps in this strategic plan as we work to accomplish these goals!
Thank you to the residents, businesses, community stakeholders, staff and Council for their dedication, effort and input into this process to keeping Farmer City viable and moving forward!! Any questions or concerns, please feel free to call City Hall at (309) 928-3412!
