ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FARMER CITY, COUNTY OF DEWITT, AMENDING CHAPTER 110 OF THE CODE OF FARMER CITY, ILLINOIS ESTABLISHING NUMBER OF AVAILABLE LIQUOR LICENSES
WHEREAS, the city of Farmer City is an Illinois municipal corporation, organized and operating pursuant to the laws and constitution of the state of Illinois;
WHEREAS, the city of Farmer City has previously amended Section 110.16 “Retailer’s Licenses; Classes and Fees” to include class G, class H, class I.
WHEREAS, the city of Farmer City now finds it desirable and in the public interest to limit each available license classification.
Section 1. The following paragraph shall be modified by adding as follows;
110.25 NUMBER OF LICENSES.
There shall be issued in the city no more than a total of two Class A licenses; one Class A-1 license; three Class B licenses; two Class C licenses; two Class D licenses; two Class E licenses; one Class F license; one Class G license; one Class H license; and one Class I license.
Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Article is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining hereof.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage, and approval and publication in pamphlet form.
