ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 90: ANIMALS SECTION 90.11 KEEPING ANIMALS OTHER THAN DOMESTICATED PETS
WHEREAS, the City of Farmer City is an Illinois municipal corporation, organized and operating pursuant to the laws and constitution of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, 510 ILCS 5 Animal Control Act Section 5 allows municipalities to further control and regulate dogs, cats and other animals:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY the City Council of the City of Farmer city, DeWitt County, Illinois that:
Section 1. The following paragraphs shall be added to the Code of Farmer City, Illinois
90.11 (F) Any person (s) who maintains fowl or poultry in a residential area shall consent to periodic inspections of a structure or pen used for purpose of keeping poultry or fowl allow a reasonable inspection of the pen or structure.
Any person (s) who does not consent to an inspection shall be deemed in non-compliance and subject to penalties as outlined in this chapter.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption, as provided by law
