ORDINANCE REGULATING HOURS AT ALL CITY PARKS
WHEREAS, the city of Farmer City owns numerous parks such as Weedman Park and South Park in the community for the purpose of entertainment, and recreational enjoyment for all who visit; and
WHEREAS, the city of Farmer City believes that parks should be a place of safety for those residents and visitors;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FARMER CITY, DEWITT COUNTY, ILLINOIS THAT:
First: The city of Farmer City recognizes that summer events are held by authorized sport organizations and those events while under parental supervision can exceed normal operating hours
Second: The city of Farmer City believes that it is in the best interest to regulate the hours of operation at each park to reduce vandalism and general rowdiness
Third: The city of Farmer City shall deem it necessary that all city owned parks be closed from 10 p.m. – 6 a.m.
