The City of Farmer City will begin utilizing CodeRed community notification system starting this week. We will have a test call on May 31, 2018. This is a free service available to Farmer City residents and business owners that will send you alerts concerning time-sensitive and/or emergency information that may impact your area via phone calls, text messages, emails and social media.
While we have many landlines registered, to be sure you are notified, we encourage everyone to complete a registration through our link or in person at City Hall. Registration will also allow you to choose which notifications to receive and how to receive them.
Simply click on the CodeRed icon at the top of the main page of our website, www.farmercityil.org and either create an account or simply review and enter information. It has an easy to follow sign-up. If you do not have internet, you can complete a paper registration at City Hall and staff will ensure you are enrolled. If you register, you can utilize the CodeRed app on your mobile device as well.
Don’t miss out on any future weather alerts, boil orders, road closures or any other community alerts – register today! Questions, feel free to call City Hall at (309) 928-3412.
