The City Manager is responsible for economic development throughout the City. This position administers the policies and applications for Tax Increment Financing Districts, of which the City has 2 as well as the Business District.
The City Manager also maintains an economic development incentive policy, negotiates with businesses and developers and works closely with agencies such as the DeWitt County Development Council and DeWitt County Zoning Office.
