Jim Tobin, received the “IDOT recognition sign that was originally posted at the entrance to the City for his accomplishments as the 2011-2012 Illinois FFA vice president.
Andrew Denno received a certificate of appreciation from the Illinois Department of Transportation for his effort to fight D.U.I.’s. Chief Denno has made 50 arrests and has also been commended by the Mothers Against Drunk Driving
David Ballard received a certificate of appreciation from the Illinois Department of Transportation for his effort to enforce speeding violations. Officer Ballard has been recognized for issuing 1,000 speeding citations which results in saving of lives.

MOTION by Monaghan to approve consent agenda as printed. Seconded by Hawn. Approved unanimously. Motion carried.

- ORDINANCE 912 – Annual Abatement Ordinance
MOTION by Monaghan to adopt annual Appropriation Ordinance Series 2011. Seconded by Hawn. Voted unanimously.
- 2. Ordinance 913 – Opening of the 700 block of Olive Street and the 700 block of Mt. Pleasant
MOTION by Hawn to adopt Ordinance 913 opening of the 700 block of Olive Street and the 700 block of Mt. Pleasant which will intersect with South Municipal Drive. Voting yes: Jenkins, Harden, Hawn and Monaghan. Voting No: Pearl. Motion carried.
