The Clinton Lake Rowing Center is located at the Clinton Lake Parnell Access Area. The Rowing Center is the new home for the University of Illinois Men’s and Women’s Club Rowing Programs and boasts a 6 lane; 2,000m race course located on a protected section of the lake. In addition to the University’s club programs, the Rowing Center is set up to host rowing events throughout the year and is working to expand to offering community and high-school programs and camps in future years.
The race course serves as the venue for the Illinois Collegiate Rowing Invitational and future races will be planned, included high school rowing teams.
Developments to the area are being made through donations from local area businesses and groups, such as the City of Farmer City. Some of the future developments include improved dock system, three bay boathouse, and expanding the coarse to eight lanes.
