History
The Liquid Edge started as a personal training area in 2005 by Doug and Kristin Meeker, both are competitive slalom skiers. Their original intent for the 30 acres they purchased with the lake was a place they would be able to practice for upcoming tournaments. The idea to become more than just a personal training area came the first day they were out practicing people approached them wanting to know if they would give them skiing lessons. Within a few weeks the word had spread through out central Illinois that you can get professional skiing lessons in Farmer City at The Liquid Edge. Doug was finding their business was growing as he was spending a majority of his time giving lessons. From these lessons it was decided that a pro-shop needed to be added. A short time later, with Doug’s 20+ years of Mastercraft knowledge, they added Mastercraft sales & service to their growing list of services they were adding.

Special Events

Every summer The Liquid Edge host clinics, with hall of fame athletes; in the past these have included: Wade Cox, water skier; Will Christien, Zane Schwenk, and Parks Bonifay, wakeboarders.
