Proclamations/presentations Elizabeth Foulks, representing the 175th birthday celebration, presented the council a plaque from the Farmer City/DeWitt County Fair dedicating the 2012 fair to the 175th birthday of the City of Farmer City Also the 175th committee would like to do a yearly festival. The festival will be called Heritage Dayz. The committee will keep council updated on the event.

Resolution – 2012 – 21 – Creating a summer festival committee
The City of Farmer City will be celebrating yearly summer festivals to promote our community through tourism. This resolution names a steering committee. MOTION by Pearl to approve Resolution 2012 – 21 creating a summer festival committee. Seconded by Monaghan. Approved unanimously. Motion carried.
2 RESOLUTION 2012-22- Approving the 2012 – appropriating the sum of $12,000.00 of Motor Fuel Tax funds Passage of this resolution will appropriate $12,000.00 of motor fuel tax funds for 2012 for maintaining streets under the applicable provision of the Illinois Highway Code. MOTION by Monaghan to approve Resolution 2012-22 appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds. Seconded by Hawn. Approved unanimously. Motion carried.
3. RESOLUTION 2012-23 – TIF 1 grant to Imo’s Café 912 E. Clinton Avenue MOTION by Monaghan to table Resolution 2012-23 grant to Imo’s Café 912 E. Clinton Avenue until next meeting. Seconded by Hawn. Voted unanimously. Motion carried.
4. RESOLUTION 2012-24 – TIF 1 grant to the Hair Boutique 304 S. Main Street
MOTION by Monaghan to table Resolution 2012-24 304 S. Main Street until next meeting. Seconded by Hawn. Voted unanimously. Motion carried.
RESOLUTION 2012-25 – TIF 1 grant to the City of Farmer City 217 S. Main
MOTION by Hawn to table Resolution 2012-25 – 217 S. Main until next meeting. Seconded by Monaghan. Voted unanimously. Motion carried.
6. RESOLUTION 2012-26 – Hotel/Motel grant to the Farmer City Antiques Group
This resolution approves a $500.00 donation to the Farmer City Antiques group to help defray the costs of the yearly show. Funds to be paid from the Hotel/Motel account MOTION by Monaghan to approve Resolution 2012-26 Hotel/Motel grant to the Farmer City Antiques Group. Seconded by Hawn. Voted unanimously. Motion carried
7. Motion to approve the Farmer City 2012 Organizational chart
MOTION by Monaghan to approve the 2012 Organizational chart. Seconded by Hawn. Voted unanimously. Motion carried
