Farmer City BMX was established in South Park in 1988. For the last 30+ years, we have provided a venue for individuals and families to compete in the Olympic sport of Bicycle Motocross with local and national caliber riders in attendance ranging in age from 2 - 80 years old. We provide an atmosphere where all riders can learn new skills, respect, responsibility and good sportsmanship in a family friendly environment.
Farmer City BMX holds racing events every Saturday (weather permitting) from 4:30-9:00 pm from April through October. During the summer months, racing is also held on Thursday evenings from 5:30-9:00. Special events are held throughout the racing season. Race fees can vary based on the type of event but there is never a charge to spectate. More information about Farmer City BMX can be found on our website.

The Farmer City Genealogical & Historical Society was organized in February, 1988 by a group of individuals interested in preserving the rich heritage of this area. In 1993, the storefront at 224 South Main Street was obtained and through the generosity of the Masonic Lodge, the Museum was established and continues to this day.
The Society has a website and a Facebook page (Farmer City Genealogical & Historical Society), publishes a quarterly (Mirror), participates in local activities, is a viable member of the community, and membership continues to grow each year.
Museum hours are the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment. Membership in the Society is $15.00 per year. More information can be obtained on the website. We welcome visitors. Varied Meeting Times; Annual meeting held every Nov.
