Description
The Farmer City Genealogical & Historical Society was organized in February, 1988 by a group of individuals interested in preserving the rich heritage of this area. In 1993, the storefront at 224 South Main Street was obtained and through the generosity of the Masonic Lodge, the Museum was established and continues to this day.
The Society has a website and a Facebook page (Farmer City Genealogical & Historical Society), publishes a quarterly (Mirror), participates in local activities, is a viable member of the community, and membership continues to grow each year.
Museum hours are the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment. Membership in the Society is $15.00 per year. More information can be obtained on the website. We welcome visitors. Varied Meeting Times; Annual meeting held every Nov.
